Frequently Asked Questions

 

1. What is the delivery time for our pictures?
On average, it will take approximately 3-4 weeks for your pictures to arrive.

2. How long does it take for each team to be photographed?
The average team of 14 kids takes approximately 20 minutes
 

3. How should we bring the teams to the photographer?
Teams should arrive at the assigned picture time, in an orderly fashion, with the help of a coach or parent present.
Kids should come to the photographer with picture order sheet in hand. The gray area should already be filled out. Orders will be completed and paid at picture time.

4. Can the group help to make picture day an enjoyable experience for all?
Yes, although we try not to make picture day the group's responsibility, the day will move along smoother with the group's help. The group can help in the following ways:
1) If possible, supplying parent aides to help the photographers stay on schedule.
2) Following the time structure for teams stated earlier in this brochure.
3) By making sure students come to the photographer according to the guidelines stated in this brochure.

5. What if a student forgets his/her money on picture day?
Unfortunately, we would have to photograph the student as nonpaying. Your order will be processed upon receipt of payment

6. Can more than one student be photographed in the picture?
Yes. We do limit the number of children photographed to three.

7. What happens if a parent has a problem with their child's picture packet?
Parents are to contact RGV Photo directly, via email or phone, Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. service@rgvphoto.com or 956-664-2442. We have a money back guarantee.

8. Do you offer any additional photography services?
Yes we do! We really enjoy sports-action, theater and dance photography. Call us with your needs Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm. We also have fundraiser  programs that can benefit the group. Call us for more details!

9.What do I do if my CD doesn't start by itself?

  If your computer does not allow the CD to self start after about 1 minute, just follow the instructions below.

 Place the CD in the CD slot & close the CD door. Click  “Start” on the lower left of your desktop. Click  “run”. Click  “Browse” to find your CD. ( usually drive D:, look for “rgvphoto…”). Click on the CD to display the files on the CD. Double-click on “DSSAR.EXE”. Click “OK” to run the slide show. It will take about 15 seconds to load up.

10.How do I  print my picture files from the CD?

 The picture file(s) is(are) available as “.jpg” files on the CD. To print the picture(s), use any picture program such as Microsoft Imaging(under accessories), Corel, or Photodraw.

11. How do I use a picture file as the screen background?

 You must first copy the jpg pictures to your hard drive.  "Find" the jpg file and right click on the picture thumbnail(small version of the picture)  Left click  "Set as desktop background.". The picture may appear several times depending on your screen resolution or picture size.

 

12. Emailing your pictures:

 

A. When watching the slide show, hit the Esc button on your keyboard . The program will ask you if you want to quit. Click the Yes button on the screen. The program will stop.

B. Using you Windows Explorer(not internet explorer) program, click on My computer, and then the CD drive(probably drive D). The CD drive will be named RGV Photo or ROXIO??. Find the photo you are looking for(see note 1 below) and, using the mouse, right click on that file. Left click on the choice that says “Send to”, then select “Email recipient” Your email program should come on, asking you to complete the email with an address. When complete, click send.

 

Note 1:

Each picture file is on the CD, using the same name that you find while watching the slide show. The name is on the bottom middle of the screen.
